The member of Monticello Christian Church are commited to providing support for the needy in our local community.
Some of our community events are the following:
-Feeding the 750: This events provides 150 Thanksgiving dinners for a family of 5. The dinners include a turkery, stuffing, potatoes, cranberry sauce and a pie. This event takes place on the Saturday morning before Thanksgiving.
-16 Cents Ministries Church Under the Bridge Meal and Message: 16 Cents Ministries is a Greensboro-based organization that provides a meal and Christian message for the homeless in Greensboro on Spring Garden Street under the Eugene Street bridge. We provide the meal and message 2 times every year.
-Monthly Hunger Donation: The first Sunday of every month there is a special offering to help with hunger in our area. The donations from these offerings will be divided evenly to support the free food pantrys at Locust Grove United Methodist Church and Fair Grove United Methodist Church.
